Figures published by the Land Registry for last month see the average price for a property in England and Wales fall to £162,000 which is down 0.3% on the previous month and down 2.5% on the same time last year. London is the only region bucking the trend with a 2.6% rise on last month. The biggest falls are in the North of England (over 8%) and Wales (Over 5%).
The average price over the UK has fallen by a total of around 10% since 2007 and many indicators are predicting another sharp fall by around 5% during 2012!
